. NET Framework 4 failed to install because of the error code HRESULT: 0xc8000222. 
cause: 
There are some damaged in the Software Distribution folder.

solution: 
 
Download Fix_0xc8000222.zip. 
Extract the zip file Fix_0xc8000222.bat in a folder. 
Click the right mouse button on the Fix_0xc8000222.bat file and select Run as Administrator. 
What makes this file is: 
1) Disable the Windows Update service. 
2) Delete C: \ Windows \ SoftwareDistribution. 
3) Re-enable the Windows Update service.
